Nurse Triage
Facilitate caller’s access to appropriate level of care by assessing needs, offering clinical option, referral to health care providers, services and community resources. Promotes wellness and informed decisions by providing health information, home care advice and prevention concepts. Interprets physician’s instructions to patients; Works closely with physicians, medical assistants and schedulers.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage cases toward successful return to work outcomes while maintaining relevant protocol
- Cultivate excellent relationships with all clients and prospects
- Assess the conditions of the patient, following protocols and initiating medical attention
- Contribute toward program/department expansions
- Personal ongoing development
- Effective internal and external communication Triage patient calls to assess situation, give advice as needed. Prioritizes calls as it relates to scheduling appointments with physicians.
Job Requirements
- Experienced in both Telephonic Case Management and Nurse Triage
- Active registered nurse (R.N. License and possess the ability to be licensed as a registered nurse in multiple states without restrictions)
- At least 3 years of clinical nursing experience
- Must be credentialed with one of the following licenses: CRC, CDMS, CRRN, CVE, COHN, CCM
- Must be an Ohio BWC Certified Provider
- Individual malpractice insurance
- Must have a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and willing to travel
- Positive attitude and team player mentality
