Safety Conversation Skills Workshop

Most organizations who aspire to instilling a Just Culture struggle with how to make this happen.  Beyond learning about safety leadership concepts, the real test lies in knowing how to apply what is learned.  Ascent Safety has identified this as a common skill gap for supervisors.

Ascent Safety has worked with a partner to develop a Guide to a Safety Conversation.  This tool pulls together the key elements of a Just Culture, Influences on Risk, and Error Traps.  It is an easy-to-use guide that a supervisor or manager can use to hold an effective one-one-one safety conversation.  The key outcome of conversations using this guide is that hidden organizational and process weaknesses become more visible.  In addition, the recommended actions of the supervisor are aligned with a Just Culture, which promotes learning and improvement, while satisfying the need for accountability.
